1. About this policy

Hot Flash is an automotive social platform operated by TEK-PAK INC. It lets members create profiles for vehicles, upload media, document builds, discover events, communicate with other members, interact with businesses, and use permanent vehicle FlashTags.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account details such as display name, username, email address, profile image, and authentication information.
• Vehicle details, build information, specifications, ownership information, photos, videos, posts, comments, messages, and event activity.
• Business information such as shop name, services, contact details, portfolio content, subscription status, referral activity, and customer requests.
• Order and fulfillment information for physical FlashTags, including shipping and contact details.

Information collected automatically

We may collect device, browser, operating-system, IP-address, session, crash, diagnostic, security, and feature-usage information when you use Hot Flash.

3. How we use information

• Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve Hot Flash.
• Create and maintain accounts, vehicle profiles, business pages, and permanent vehicle records.
• Display content, provide social features, process FlashTag requests, and support ownership transfers.
• Send account, security, service, event, referral, order, and product notifications.
• Detect spam, fraud, abuse, duplicate accounts, unauthorized access, and violations of our rules.
• Measure performance and understand which features are useful.

4. Public and private information

Vehicle profiles, usernames, display names, public posts, public media, comments, follower activity, business pages, services, reviews, and public event activity may be visible to others and may be shared outside Hot Flash through public links.

Email addresses, passwords, private messages, security information, shipping addresses, internal business records, and other information identified as private are not intentionally displayed publicly.

5. Location information

When enabled, location information may be used to recommend nearby events, vehicles, shops, clubs, and content. Precise device location is requested only when a feature needs it and may be disabled through device or browser settings. Public business addresses and event locations are treated differently from private device location.

6. Vehicles, ownership transfers, and FlashTags

A FlashTag is intended to be a permanent identity for a vehicle rather than an identity for its current owner. When a vehicle is transferred through Hot Flash, its Hot Flash ID, profile URL, QR code, and public vehicle history may continue with the vehicle. Personal information belonging only to a previous owner may be removed, restricted, or anonymized as appropriate.

7. Business accounts and referrals

Verified businesses may publish services, contact information, portfolio work, reviews, and professional relationships with vehicles. Hot Flash may track referral links, referral qualification events, subscription credits, wallet balances, and renewal activity to operate the business referral program and prevent abuse.

8. Service providers and sharing

We may use providers for hosting, authentication, storage, payments, maps, analytics, email, error reporting, and other infrastructure. These providers receive only information reasonably needed to perform their services. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, during a business transaction, or with your direction or consent.

Hot Flash does not sell personal information for cash.

9. Cookies and local storage

Hot Flash uses cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies to keep members signed in, remember preferences, support security, enable the PWA, and improve performance. Blocking these technologies may prevent some features from working correctly.

10. Security and retention

We use commercially reasonable safeguards, access controls, and platform security features. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Information is retained for as long as reasonably needed to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and preserve legitimate permanent vehicle history.

11. Your choices and account deletion

You may update profile and vehicle information, change available visibility settings, disable location access, unsubscribe from optional communications, or request account deletion. Some vehicle history may remain after a transfer or deletion when necessary to preserve the permanent vehicle record, protect other users, document transactions, or meet legal requirements; personal information will be removed or anonymized where reasonably appropriate.

12. Children's privacy

Hot Flash is not directed to children under 13. Users between 13 and the age of legal majority should use the service only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian where required.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Hot Flash changes. Material updates may be announced in the app, by email, or through another reasonable notice. The effective date above shows when this version took effect.
